Honors and Awards

2020 – ARIADNE TechNat: ARIADNE TechNat is a mentorship program for high-potential female postdocs, PhD students, and Masters students at FAU. This year, I am one of twenty Masters students accepted into the program out of Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering.

2019 – Melissa and Robert Lewin Award: I was awarded a $3000 grant by the Cornell Institute of Archaeology and Materials Science (CIAMS) to participate in archaeological field research on the interdisciplinary Kalavasos and Maroni Built Environments (KAMBE) project in Cyprus.

2018 – Research Honors: Awarded for the design, execution, presentation, and defense of original research, resulting in an official degree of “Bachelor of Science With Distinction in Research”.

2017-2018 – College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Deans List: Awarded for semester GPAs better than 3.50 on a 4.3 scale.

Recognition of Michael W. Mitchell Memorial Prize winners, May 2018

2018 – Michael W. Mitchell Memorial Prize: I was awarded a $4500 prize as a junior or senior “geology student who proves himself adept at other liberal arts fields as well as geology—a student of the world.”

2017 – Cornell Student Delegate to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 23): I was one of ten student delegates selected from over 400 applicants in representing Cornell in Bonn, Germany. Cornell press release here, EAS newsletter release on pages 12 and 13 here.

2017 – Paleontological Society Student Ambassador: I was awarded $1000 by the Paleontological Society to attend the Geological Society of America’s 2017 Meeting in Seattle as a Paleontological Society Student Ambassador.
